- 11. Final assessment of the internship
The final assessment is done by the internship supervisor, the academic supervisor and the internship coordinator and consists of three components:
Component | by | weight |
1. The internship report |
30% internship supervisor 25% academic supervisor |
55% |
2. Daily work | internship supervisor | 25% |
3. Oral presentation and discussion | Jury, consisting of the internship and academic supervisors and the internship coordinator | 20% |
The jury establishes a score by consensus for each evaluation part, using a specific evaluation form for each part . The jury also determines the final score of the course Professional Internship, which is a weighted average of the sub-points of the components or deviates from this if motivated by and consensus of all jury members.
The student can only pass for the course Professional Internship by obtaining a passing grade for each component. If the student does not pass the course Professional Internship because of a fail on the internship report or the oral presentation and discussion, this can be remedied in the second examination period (August). If the student does not pass the course Professional Internship because of a fail on the daily work, a second examination opportunity is not possible.
Without prejudice to Article 21 of the Education and Examination Regulations (University of Antwerp), students must always address their questions, remarks or problems regarding the course of the internship in the first instance to the internship coordinator or the chairman of the interuniversity Education Committee, prof. dr. Tom Tytgat.
With regard to fraud and plagiarism, article 15 of the Education and Examination Regulations (University of Antwerp) applies in full.
